New batt, put in fob,and put near a f/m radio 88m/hz singnal ok ,but will not open or close car,,??
that being the case Dennis,the problem has to be in the receiver of the door locks..take it down to whoever makes or sells the make of your car,and see if they can have a look at it,or more than likely they may already know what the problem is,and it may be a simple fix,,although anything to do with the electronics of a car aint cheap..>>>>>>><<<<<<<..

older battery say 10 plus years,pressure apply is a heavy instant load or drain on given cells,,
What is the battery used for Hec,,the fact that it is a ten year old battery means it is probably close to the end of its life,10 years is a darn good run,,remember a battery runs on volts and amperage,,if you are sucking more out then what you are putting back,battery gonna go kaput..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
Theres 2 terry in my car key fob,and i can not lock or unlock my car,,althought they 3 volt each,,
Hec you still having problems with that car key..????Mate you are gonna have to get that key fob checked out,,Listen, i have a Arlec battery tester,it will test just about every battery,including Button batteries,you have to know if the batterys are stuffed or not..the photo is the exact one i have,they only cost about $10 in Aussie..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<..
