No, apparently you have to be of a certain age to get one. They wouldn't give me one and I'm suspectical to shingles.....
I had shingles about two months ago. It is painful. Here we don't have to be of a certain age and you Julie, are the perfect age to get shingles. :(

I think you can have them both here at any age if you pay. We get the Pneumonia one when we are over 65 for free, and the Chicken Pox one after 75 for free.

I'm up to date on all my vacs. This reminds me, I had the Chicken Pox twice when I was a kid. Most people think you can only catch it once.

I had Chicken Pox when I was a Child Quite Nasty. Then abouit 25 years ago I had Shingles on my head, that was nasty too. The doctor said it's the Chicken Pox virus that stays in you body dormant , and then comes back to life as shingles. Because of the way it stays in you body, I suppose that can cause it to come back more than again, or more than once. You can have a vaccination for it , but I don't think you can have it here until you are 75 years old.

@zorro, didn't you get the sugarcube for polio? It's possibly some other vaccine scar you have on your arm.
I've had both polio vaccine (shot, not sugar cube) and the vaccine for chicken pox. Many of my friends had the scar (indented circle?) but I and another friend, did not. I'm not sure which vaccine caused it but I've always thought it was polio.
