My kitten ate and is eating my bamboo plants.....

.....why?  Is it like eating grass or should I just pull her teeth?  (I'd never do that MCM)

Bamboo is OK for pets, after all, pandas survive on the plant, not that I'd have a panda for a pet.

And just how are the pandas discouraged from eating said bamboo?

Pandas live on the bloody stuff, if you want them to die get rid of the bamboo.
As for cats? Not a clue, cats are their own boss.

You can rub vinegar on the bamboo plants etc... Read here>>http://www.cathealth.com/how-and-why/how-to-keep-your-cat-from-chewing-on-houseplants

Really, thank you. I had a pyramid of bamboo, very attractive and just beginning to get fuller and she ate anything sticking out and up to a certain level. I've got St. Augustine grass and am just going to cut some and tie it in bundles. Perhaps if I made it really really attractive....
