....treat others as you want to be treated and love thy neighbor.

What do you mean by the "total unity" of Christianity?

Dear Bob, I mean all the Christian denominations are united. So, don't have difference between christian and christian. No more sectarian differences. Everyone is equal.

There will always be diffetences...some don't dance, some don't sing, some don't drink alcohol, some embrace homosexuality, some have subtle...and not so subtle, ethnic peculiarities unique to their culture.
You find sects of Judaism, Islam, and likely most every faith in existence.
The key to Christianity is pretty clear. Joining in a united interpretation of even Jesus Christ is unlikely among Christians.

When Christ walked the earth, there was one christianity, man separeted them, and christ will return to collect the ones he believes to be right,,thats how i see it..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Actually, when Christ walked the earth, there was no Christianity!

Christianity started with the preaching of Christ and the beginning of the disciples writings,,as i understand it Phyllis..>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

What makes you a Christian? Doesn't it start with the resurrection?
    terryfossil 1

I would have thought it started with Christ's teachings Bob, and the Baptism by John the Baptist,,the resurrection was the retaining of the keys to life and death, and Christ became the bridge back to God..however i am not a preacher..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    Bob/PKB

    It's a good debatable concept.
Accepting Christ's death and resurrection, his death to atone for our sins, all posthumous. I'll ask my pastor

What denomination do you go to Phyllis..>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
    Bob/PKB

I'm a member of the Methodist Church in my hometown, but attend an Armenian Congregational church where I live now. We had a pastor who retired after 15 years...during his ministry, one of his two sons transgendered.
