Hello, I forgot my old dell laptop login password, it's Windows 8 system, I can't recall the password at all, and have no pre-created password reset disk. I also don't wanna reinstall my system because there are some important files on it. any help?

There is a free program called Ophcrack, which works fine for week password. For strong one, it would take days to crack the password. In this case, I highly recommend to create a windows reset disk. It will replace the old password with a new blank password so you can get into the computer without password after doing this.
