I would like to learn sign language. In the 2nd grade there was a deaf boy in our classroom and no one knew how to communicate with him, it was very sad. I know a young woman who gave birth to a deaf baby a year ago December. He had implants placed in his ears last week which will be turned on in April.
There has been a petition recently started here by a friend of the lady with the deaf son to make Sign a Subject at School here in the UK, but people from other countries are also signing the petition. Feel free to sign it. You don't have to give your name.

German, studied it at college but it's a bloody difficult language to get a grip of, other than that I can understand Spanish quite well, had a Spanish girlfriend way back when, perhaps I should have looked for a German girl too.

French, due to our two official languages (English and French). Not that it is needed here in my area, but I did take it in high school and wish that I had had opportunity to speak it in subsequent years. I still remember some of it.

Poutine sans cheese curds is like pie without the filling.
I did French at night school for about five years, that was about thirty years ago. I started to get the hang of it , but when I went to France (as we did regularly at that time) the French were so pleased to come across an English man who tried to speak their language , they would speak so fast and loose me. But they were also helpful, and pleased that we were trying. They don't like English people shouting at them in English. Unfortunately I have not been so much the past few years, so I have lost a lot of it now.
