We have a 6 ft. fence and I was outside enjoying the plants when.....

.....someone tossed out their bottle and broke it on the side walk. I yell, "PICK UP THAT GLASS,  NOW !", heard nothing and came in to tell James.  Well went exploring but they were gone. What would YOU have done?

I had a similar incident happen to me last week. The rubbish bins are dumped only once every two weeks so they fill up and the lids won't close. The seagulls and crows tear open the bags to get to the food causing loose garbage to blow out of the bins. The loose garbage  blows in front of our flat and collects underneath the bushes and the corner wall at the end of the paved walk. The people living in the  two bottom flats smoke cigs  in the close and then toss their butts outside the front door where everyone has to walk through.

I grab a large garbage bag and go outside about once every 2 or 3 months and clean up the property. Last week I must have picked up at least 100 cig butts and as I was picking the butts up the people downstairs were smoking and tossing their butts on the ground in front of me.   I was steaming mad, but I didn't say a word to them because they are all adults and they should know better so it would be pointless for me to ask them to stop.

It's hard to resist the urge to collect a bag full of their butts and dump them in front of their doors. When I was in my teens and 20's I used to throw a lot of my butts out my car window when I was done smoking or throw them on the ground. Now, that I'm older, I know how trashy it was to do this and I regret it. It makes me feel better knowing that I have probably picked up as many butts this past year or so that I had thrown out myself in the past.

Chances are they were gone before you yelled,,not a lot you can do about it,unless they are you next door nieghbour ..different story altogether then..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

But they were next door with just a 6ft fence separating us. I'll be ready with the flashlight and camera....

Exactly and Texans are bigger than everyone else! :)

Being confrontational these days, is rather risky. Who knows which person is carrying a gun or a knife. It usually isn't the calm, respectful, rational persons in our society but more often the angry and agitated ones who seemingly hate everyone. Their concern is for themselves and not others. Be cautious!

Very well spoken. Most likely yes. EVERYBODY needs to think about this more. Because there is more to it. I could say more but someone would get offended. Its just how the world is turning.
