Are you prepared for tornado season here in USA ? Do you have access to cellar or basement.

There will be a big cold outbreak first week of April. Cold air does not mix well with warm moist from gulf of mexico. Possible tornadoes east Texas to South Carolina. Few years ago I saw damage of F5 tornado in Oklahoma. It picked up a steel bridge and ripped it apart like it was nothing. Below ground is best option. We added on to our house and I spent extra 10,000 dollars to build a small basement. Well worth it.

    ....no.

A tornado already took our big tree, the skeleton remains put. Not much left to take….. Too bad it’s a China Berry. The wood is too nasty to burn properly…...

The two of them do resemble each other quite a bit. LOL

Unless I want to crawl into a crawl space We have no underground place! I would get in a closet or pantry and hope for the best!  There are tornadoes around this area but I have never seen one!

Be safe to all who live in Tornado Alley.

From what i have heard and seen of tornado's over there.i reckon your government and insurance company's should chip in to help every homeowner install some kind of bunker,,although i guess i am not the first one to say this,,,it is a no brainer..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

The only tornado I've heard of here took some of the roof off the airport back in 1976 or so.  Cellars and basements are rare here, except for very old farmhouses, too many of which are just memories.  The house I lived in when I came back from Northern California had a basement; the home had somehow shifted off its foundation somewhat and the basement flooded when the flower beds around the home were watered.  The homeowners had a lot of stuff in there.

Well no tornado possible here, just a winter weather advisory up to 5 inches snow possible through tomorrow. Not an april fools joke either.

WOW! Texas snow in April is unusual. I do remember when I was living in Ft. Worth about 10 years ago it snowed in the spring after the bluebonnets had come up. Beautiful!

Doesn't look like we will get only rain . Snow just to west on New Mexico border. Its a good rain though almost an inch. That would have been around 12 inches of snow and at 36 degrees daytime.

Enjoy the wet spring weather no matter what form it falls. Texas needs it. ( Some places don't need it due to the recent flooding, but most of Texas is so dry).
