How do bats stop blood rushing to thier heads when they are hanging upside down,??

Bats have one way valves in their arteries so prevent the blood from flowing backwards. This is why they are able to hang upside down with the blood rushing to their heads.

They don't but the amount is so small I would guess. Did you know Austin has the biggest bat colony in the world? People come from miles just to see them exit the bridge.....
