Apple to fight order to help hack San Bernardino shooter's phone. I say Apple is "dead wrong".

lives take precedence over anything else. Agree? http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/02/17/apple-must-help-fbi-hack-san-bernardino-killers-phone-judge-says.html

I agree that Apple is wrong and should be forced to 'unlock' that phone. This is about killers who are no doubt part of a larger group. Learning that information is a matter of life and death....period!!

Maybe the U.S.Govt should stop using Apple for a while.Maybe that would make their point.

    APPLE ARE WRONG!

    Apple should comply (or else).

    ....Apple has a responsibility against lawle$$ne$$ !

Whoa guys, this is a technical world that most of us do not understand, and most of us do not have anything on our phones of interest to anybody except the tax man,,however this does have the ability..NOTE..i said 'ability",,once apple makes this software that does not exist now to enter a phone, that can possibly give access to any phone in the world.Government, military, company espionage, the list is endless,,my point is,always remember we the people are the mushrooms,so this subject is certainly a long way out from our understanding,,our normal answer is"if it saves  lives, stuff the rest of it".instead of asking will it save more lives than it will cost,,either way the decision falls,,it can be disastrous or brilliant..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<.

They should be made to cooperate  , and if they refuse lock em up.

Here is the basic text of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.  I believe Apple is doing what is right; I may not like who they are protecting, but I certainly appreciate WHY they are doing so.  Do you HONESTLY trust the US Government not to abuse this "power"?

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects,[a] against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.[2]

Yeah, we do have guns. My son took me to the shooting range Thursday and we had a great time. I enjoy target shooting; it's been years since I've fired a gun.

We got guns too Bob,,tell you what Bob,i have heard some American gun people say our gun laws do not work and the figures are rubbery,,i myself did not like someone telling me i had to register my gun and do a safety course on how to safely handle and secure a gun,,as time has gone on,i think it has been a success,,just an interesting point Bob..A bit of interesting reading here my friend..http://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-35048251

Interesting, terry. I think one of the problems here is the chasm between the political parties. Demos are control freaks and would go too far in regulations. We need some kind of reform, but the 2nd amendment needs to be respected.

Nobody said it would be easy Bob,though i do not understand your 2nd amendment,,the law should be==to have a gun,, you should be a responsible person to do so,,the gun should be in a secure place with the magazine and ammo separate, and if you do not have a reason to have a gun, then you should be a member of a gun club..and have done a safety course relating to the gun,,and if the amendment gets in the way of a new law,,then the amendment should be bent to accommodate the new law..How does that sound Bob..????????

I agree that people should have a certificate for passing a gun safety course. I agree there should be a thorough background check. Many people use guns for hunting and target shooting. Lots of people have a gun for protection and even have a Concealed Carry Permit. My son has a lot of guns, from different parts of the world, and he takes good care of them and enjoys shooting them (as I did with him the other day). Most people who own a gun are not a problem. The people who ARE a problem are going to get a gun (or arsenal) with or without permission. Regulating legal gun owners isn't going to stop the mass murderers. :(

Sorry guys but Apple is correct in protecting what they advertise. I’d like to think that any personal information I may have (though I sincerely doubt it would include human death) is protected no matter what. That’s my right as a consumer. Trust.  Sorry this includes persons that it’s ended up coverin but why would our government stop there? There has to be a line......
