I think that's the best bacon. I've been doing it for a few years, I think I watched Alton Brown do it.
Bacon is a little different here in the UK so cooking it in the oven is the best way to crisp it up.

The smell of cinnamon rolls cooking in the oven IMO wins hands down. It's like smelling a little bit of heaven on earth.
