The symbolic timekeeper of our impending destruction is currently set at three minutes to midnight — the closest we have ever been to that dreaded hour since the clock began ticking in 1947.
The clock is a universally recognised indicator of our vulnerability to catastrophe from nuclear weapons, emerging technologies and more recently, global warming.
“Tensions between the United States and Russia that remain at levels reminiscent of the Cold War, the danger posed by climate change, and nuclear proliferation concerns, including the recent North Korean nuclear test, are the main factors influencing the decision about any adjustment that may be made to the Doomsday Clock,” a statement on the Bulletin’s website said.
“In January 2015, the Doomsday Clock’s minute hand advanced two minutes, moving from five to three minutes before midnight, the closest it has been to catastrophe since the early days of above-ground hydrogen bomb testing.”

While I appreciate the seriousness of the global tension and all this climate warming that causes people to mass murder, I wonder who appointed this committee and upon what criteria they were selected as experts to make this kind of prediction.
And, of course, I hope they are going to be moving the clock back several hours after somebody besides Donald, Bernie, or Hilary takes over the White House.
Oh, I heard the San Andreas Fault in California has been renamed Barack Obama's Fault. It's nice to see he's finally getting the blame for SOMETHING!

Mans predictions about just about anything is woeful,,seeing as how God made all this, i think i will go with his prediction,,for crying out loud man cannot even predict the weather,but claims to be able to predict the end of the world,,that is the greatest piece of stupidity by man yet,,and there is a long list,,,The guy who made this place made a prediction of his own,"lest i come quickly you will destroy yourselves",i am with him..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

I remember something about it but am not worried about it. My mother spoke about "end of the world's predictions " from when she was a girl. My grandmother said the same thing. It's a favorite subject among doomsayers. I say live your life as happily as you can, help the less fortunate, continue to pray for peace, and stop trying to place blame on something that's going to happen anyways no matter who's at fault.....
