Peanut spends most of her day asleep.  She has a good appetite, is not overweight, and can still jump 6-8 times her height with ease.  She's no spring kitten!

Cats sleep, jhh; if he's well, then tiptoe out of the room and don't slam the door!

I read in the cat magazine which my wife buys, that cats usually lose their appetite when they have an illness , so sounds like he should be ok, if he's still going out at night it could be as bulletman says, and he's burning his energy up some other way.
