When was your last visit to a museum? What type?

Today as a matter of fact. A U.T. art museum full of old, old paintings and artifacts as well as contemporary art . 3 hours later and I'm inspired.....

I worked in our local museum up until the end of last August, it's now adjoined to our main library and art galleries, all the staff are required to rotate between the three now, it's a post I hope to continue in future if they find the funds for a permanent job, my most favourite job ever.

That sounds like a really fun position, museum/library/galleries. You must get to interact with a lot of people and it's a little different every day. I hope you get to continue, too, especially since you really enjoy it, too

I loved it Phyllis, but there are a lot of "cuts" going on at this time, I keep my fingers crossed.

We've just raised the minimum wage in California...again...expect many positions to be cut to fewer hours (less benefits), and prices to continue to rise.
Keep me updated...the A.A. returned to work this Monday and I miss working, but have enjoyed having a grandchild for an overnight visit and seeing a movie with friends. Going back tomorrow to help out, I guess...school starts Tuesday. YES!!

They're sure taking a long time! Tell them that your friend in Canada is getting impatient!!! :(

Cutbacks are getting worse my friend in Canada, I can but dream.

During the fall semester, I visited the art museum on campus a couple of times.  During the summer, I visited a museum in NYC with YOU!

Neuschwanstein Castle,,i guess you would call that a museum,,and the Louvre Museum in France..>>>>>>>><<<<<<.. """"

WOW, terry, these photos are exquisite! The castle looks amazing. I visited the Louvre a couple of times as a young'un; would love to go again someday.

Bob, the castle was built by king Ludwig 2,to the right of that castle is the castle swan,he grew up in the swan with his parents,,and the louvre,i bet the glass pyramid was not there when you last visited,,the entrance to the Louvre is via the pyramid..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

You're right. The "pyramid" was installed in 1988. My last visit abroad was in 1981.
You've got me curious about Ludwig; I'll look for a book about him and the castle....absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing, terry. It's 11:15 pm, and I have to get up early for a pot luck (haven't made anything yet). Enjoy the weekend
