This is sort of interesting. I wonder what adoption protocol is concerning age these days? My step-mom's aunt passed away age 104 and was never married. She did however adopt two boys during her lifetime. The first when in her sixties and the second when she turned 80 ... yep, 80 years old! She was wealthy and a retired teacher! Both sons were well educated and well travelled as she toured the world while raising them!

It might not be such a bad life to be adopted into a financially infallible situation after all! The age factor doesn't seem to matter .. look how many children are being raised by grandparents these days! Yikes!
