Oh lord girl! Stay safe ! Gads when I lived on the prairies of Alberta my house was lashed to the ground with cables due to tornadoes!! I used to get in my truck and head the opposite direction of the spinners when I saw them touching down too close to my domain .... thrilling but often scary as Hades!!

There was a tornado in the area back in the 1970's, when I was living "up north".  Part of the Fresno Air Terminal was torn off.  Since I have no basement or storm shelter, if a tornado made its way back this way, I think I'm supposed to get in a closet...there are two good-sized ones in the master bedroom, and the bathroom has no windows, either, so there's another option.  If I'm out an about, I've read the least dangerous place I can be is in a ditch, ideally a low tunnel of some sort.
