    Are you looking forward to New Year’s eve, night, day?

    For some reason I am. Ready for 2016. I wan to cook the black eyed peas and cabbage with a dime in it…...

    Well while growing up at home. It was a tradition to cook cabbage to start the New Year.
    And place two or 3 dimes in the pot of cabbage. Now when you went to eat the cabbage, if you would be the lucky one to get a dime.It meant you would have money all year. ""
    PS. of cource you boiled the dimes before placeing them into the pot ""

    Nice tradition. Never had any tradition at New Years Eve when I was growing up. This year, I'll be at a restaurant with great ambience, for a nice evening meal....something like this. Aaaahhhh....

    Me, too. :D

    The 1st January is a special day....I throw away my contacts and open a fresh pair.  I also open the vents and clean the filters (there are 2).
    The 1st day of February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December will be equally eventful!

    @Bob...That's exactly why they still need to be cleaned. That's my 'retired frame of mind'. :)

    Well, if you get done and need a reason to visit California....I have a lot of drawers, too!!

    @Bob....that would be fun I'm guessing. :)

    Yep. There are only 2 drawers that need to be straightened up, so the rest of the time we'll be sightseeing and doing FUN STUFF.

    All will be quite on the home front here.Just the way I like it.
