I was walking to the shop today after it rained and it was so slippery I fell down. I mean I was covered in mud from head to toe. It wasn't funny at the time but Roy and I got a great laugh out of it when I got home and he made me take off my clothes before I was allowed to enter the house.
I know children and elderly people may fall quite often but I'm 49. When is the last time you have fallen and were you okay?

I took a hard tumble over David's bed crank and banged myself up but good. Even knocked off my glasses! I have since folded it up......

OUCH.....the humiliation is sometimes more painful! My last fall was when my bike wheel got caught in the groove along a railroad track and the two of us fell. My arm, near my elbow, got pretty scratched up and I needed to see the chiropractor the next day. I was wearing a helmet and felt my helmet bounce on the road.
The other night, one of our older bowlers (who drinks 48 oz of beer before bowling starts, and shares several pitchers during league) trip/staggered over the foul line, where it gets slippery. He staggered about ten feet towards the pins before toppling into the next lane, losing his balance completely, and fell, his head hitting the "bump" between the gutter of one lane and the gutter of the next lane. I thought he was going to be unconscious, but family members helped him up (he's in his late 60s) and gave him some beer to drink.
I give up....

I crashed coming up my drive way after checking my Christmas display! I bent over and guess lost my balance(like running down hill getting top heavy) Crashed face first into the drive! Got two black eyes and cuts and scraped knees and one hand! Also I have been nominated for (KLUTZ) of the year! Graceful! I am NOT! Also bent my glasses!

Two winters ago I was walking Max (pictured left) on a perfectly dry sidewalk when I slipped on a patch of black ice. Fell flat on my back, also hitting the back of my head. Hurt real badly but after a minute or so I got up and continued our walk. Five days later I got xrays which confirmed a broken rib. Getting older is a bi**h but it beats the alternative.

I, in my mid sixties at the time, was walking down a hospital hallway and tripped over the edge of a carpet which was in front of a reception area. I did that 'running forward' type of fall and injured my wrist as I hit the floor. It hurt for several months after that. Interestingly, the very next day, that carpet was taped to the floor on all four sides. Hmmm...

A couple of years ago I was out on my bike, The peddles have locks/Kleets, which lock to my cycling shoes. you have to twist your foot to unlock them. I forgot to twist as I pulled up , I was cycling along a pathway next to a river, and finished up laying on my side, bike still attached about 6 Inches from the rivers edge.
