I don't remember how old I was when I found out Santa was fake or who told me but it was probably one of my stinky uncles or crazy aunts because I lived with my grandparents most of the time.

I told my own kids that Santa was a symbol of the sharing spirit and love of Christmas and told them that really old German story about the very first Santa and that people held onto it as a tradition. I also told them how I had felt duped by my sisters and advised my girls to never, ever tell a kid that there is no Santa.... 'cause there is ! Ho Ho Ho !!

I was probably about 8 . My Aunt asked me what I got for Christmas and I told her what Santa brought and she said You are to old to believe that stuff!" Broke my heart. She also told me I was a liar when I told her I had to cut my doll's hair as it had grown too long! Some people just want to wreak all the fun!

She was a librarian in Chicago! Married but never had children. My cousin and I spent the night at their apartment a couple times. We were amazed you had to ring a bell for someone to open the elevator doors and I remember they had a TV with a giant magnifying glass in front of it.

Oh, I forgot to mention...She was an adult....mother of one of the group of kids that were playing in her yard! Her daughter was older...probably about 10 or 11. :(

Ducky, 8 is the normal age that kids learn about Santa. I was in the 3rd grade when the neighbor girls told me. Clu said she was 8 also.

@mcm...That may be the "normal age" but it shouldn't be done by a nasty neighbor in front of a whole group of young children. It is not her place to do that! As I said, she was known for having a mean streak.

With five kids ranging from 5 to 19, it’s was hard to keep the santa secret a secret. Nobody flat out told me. We made fun of my brother who believe up until Jr. High.

The spirit of Santa Claus is very real and very alive. There have been documented "Santa Claus" persons in various parts of the world for hundreds of years.
It is very presumptuous to suggest there is no Santa Claus, when there is absolute proof of Santa Claus persons around the world and through centuries.

No idea at all,,except i was 7 year old and in a state home with my younger brother and sister,,the home gave us presents,and i took all our presents under the building and burnt them..nearly burnt the building down,,i was an angry kid who wanted his mum and dad back,,so i do not think Santa played a part in my life back then..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
