Return to work means you have not been at your workplace, doing your job,for an extended period of time, per doctor's orders.  Now your doctor has given you permission to go back to your workplace and resume your position and responsibilities. 

Return To Work is serious in minimizing lost workdays, and staying away from unnecessary disability syndromes. It's the procedure for getting an injured worker that has not fully retrieved to work as soon as possible. The main focus is on functional recovery, this is not on only the relief of signs and symptoms.
