We've had some flooding at times but nothing major....flooded basements along with a few road closures. Tornado watches (not even warnings) on occasion, no earthquakes except for a mild tremor a few years ago from hundreds of miles away. Our biggest problem is major snow storms to contend with, especially when it snows for days on end and the plows cannot keep up with the clearing.

Interestingly, this year as of today (Dec. 03/15) we still have no snow and our temperatures are above normal with lots of sunshine. I can handle that!

Well, Austin sits over a giant cave but I don’t think sinking is what we have to handle. It’s the flooding! When it rains, it pours! Memorial Day is noted for the greatest…… Below is the infamous statue of Stevie Ray Vaughn and the river waters cresting the durn thing……...

I can't decide weather it's snow or floods.   :o)

We only have tornadoes to worry about in Mich. Haven't had severe wide spread floods.  My doctor said  they don't have tornadoes in Europe. Is that right ?

Blizzards (Queens, NY) We average one every two years or so. We get warnings close enough to them, so a lot of people get prepared...salt, food, milk, medicine...
