Late September was my 6 month checkup. No cavities or broken fillings, for a change. Got out of there with a good cleaning, a new toothbrush, floss, and a little tube of toothpaste.

Why, it was just last week....another check up for my dislocated jaw and the guard that I am wearing. It was my 5th appointment since it happened, 2 months ago today.
How did it go? Well, instead of having to wear this guard for "up to 3 months" (that would be Dec. 21st), I now have to wear it for 5 months....until mid February! My jaw is still dislocated, not healing the way it should and the next step might be a different kind of guard to wear for another 3-5 months. That will be a full day in the dentist's office and thousands of dollars. Ugh. Surgery on the jaw is the next option but that won't be happening....too controversial from all that I've read.
The funny thing is, I must wear this guard all the time (day and night) with the exception of eating and I've actually gotten used to it. I have little pain anymore and my biggest problem is that it is difficult to say any words with "S". Oh shucks! :)
That is my long, drawn out story in answer to your simple question. How did you like it? LOL!!

I went last year as a tooth had fallen out of my denture which was supposed to last at least 7 years! My first dentures lasted 30 years! Why after 2 years this one is SH%%? "Well this just happens" Right! Thousands of bucks and (OOPS!)happens! They fixed it but why so shoddy treatment in the first place?
