Charlie Sheen reveals he's HIV positive on Today with Mat Lauer. Thoughts?

“I am here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive and I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks, of sub-truths – very harmful ... stories that are threatening the health of so many others,” he told the Today show on NBC on Tuesday.

I didn't believe him when he said there is no possible way he may have passed HIV to other people making it sound like he's been using rain coats every time he's had sex with someone and now Gloria has said Charlie may have been having sex with women as late as last week who he did not inform he was HIV positive ( no mention if it was unprotected sex or not). I think he's gonna have a lot of lawsuits and he may end up overdosing or committing suicide.

I wouldn't wish this on anyone but Charlie has lived a very reckless lifestyle for decades. In spite of many people offering help and/or advice, he has ignored them. While watching his interview, I have the impression that he is still not telling the whole truth, which has been his pattern. He has a continuing rough road ahead. :(

I agree with all you have said. He did seem "normal' today instead of behaving like a crazed lunatic as he has in the past. I think it was essential for him to come across the way he did this morning when he revealed he has HIV so he will do more good than harm with the stigma attached to HIV.

During the interview he mentioned paying out millions of dollars these past four years to people who were blackmailing him. I don't remember his exact words but Charlie said after today all the blackmailing will be over. I can certainly see why he would want a bunch of press releases/media to air this story.

There was a bit of the interview on the radio, which was enough for me. It sounded as though Charlie wasn't going to take responsibility for himself (correct me if I'm wrong).

We will all pay the consequences of our poor choices at some point in time, some more so than others.

I got no sense from the interview that he is about to admit his reckless behavior. Further, to state so emphatically, that he never gave it to anyone else, is simply designed by his high priced lawyers. I smell some law suits!

Talk about grabbing the spotlight. Allred really had nothing to say, but she got her name out there. "Several" women last week??? Really???

MCM did you click on the link above I provided from the Charlie's interview this morning???? Charlie specifically mentions he was not using nor sharing needles with anyone. You do know that people contact HIV not only through sharing needles but through unprotected sex as well don't you? Charlie Sheen in notorious for having sex with prostitutes.

CB, He said in the interview, he NEVER had unprotected sex ( b/c he didn't want to give HIV to anyone ) Watch the interview again he had with Matt Laurer. And by the way, just b/c he says something, it doesn't mean it's true. The same holds true in that if he lies by omission. He's not an angel. I do admire his talent tho' and his looks.

MCM I didn't believe him for a second when he said he's NEVER had unprotected sex. Perhaps he has been using protection since he was diagnosed with HIV, but how many women may he possibly infected before he knew he had this virus.
New reports mention he was having sex with women just day's before his Today interview and these women claim Charlie did not tell them he is HIV positive, did he use protection!
