Fall and cold weather. Hey Aussies , enjoy the heat of summer. One of my favorite is put a whole chicken in and can of rotel, mushroom soup, carrots, peas, spices.

Sesame Chicken
1/2 cup apricot jam
1/4 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp grated ginger
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 red pepper, sliced
scallions and sesame seeds, for serving
Rice
In a 5 to 6 at. slow cooker, combine jam, ketchup, soy sauce, ginger, and crushed red pepper. Add chicken, onion and garlic and toss to coat. Scatter the red pepper and cook for 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 on low or 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 on high. Meanwhile make rice twenty mins. before chicken is ready. Sprinkle scallions and sesame seeds on top to serve. Serves 4

Now you’ve got me hungry for stew. I have a three tiered crockpot and no excuses for not using it. You’re right, winter is coming, the days are shorter, fall is in the air and we need STEW!
