I am 57 years old and have never been out on a date (unless lunch with a friend counts as a date…..). Was married once for 3 years and divorced before I turned 21. I’ve been hooked up with James for 13 years but don’t want to marry him. My niece put it best when she found her beau: she told my sister that she had met the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with……….

CB: I agree with you. I'm enjoying a flirty WWF friendship with a local guy who is out of state for a year, which is fun. I'm sad for those who are in sick relationships and don't have the strength to get out of them...for fear, lack of self-respect, laziness, or habit....alone has its advantages, and beats sick any day.

I believe yes, there is someone for everyone, but the problem is distance. Your perfect someone for you might be on the other side of the planet or across the country. I give CB and Romeos a lot of credit for overcoming those odds and taking the plunge. And my nephew managed to marry a girl that lived in Florida and he was from Wisconsin. She had a lot to do with that. He said 2,000 miles meant nothing to her.
