    If it uncertain weather you have had chickenpox or not, should a person get the shingles vaccine? Or would it be risky ?

    No record or knowledge of ever having chickenpox.

    Shouldn't be risky at all, there is lots of evidence showing that the shingles vaccine is very safe. It's already been used in several countries, including the US and Canada, and no safety concerns have been raised. The vaccine also has few side effects.


    Always best to ask your GP though.
