A US company has developed hornless cattle by tweaking their DNA and are working on ways of ensuring that dairy cows only produce female calves and chickens lay eggs that can be sexed before they hatch thus ending the mass slaughter of male calves and chicks.
Seems all good to me, but what do you guys think?

These animals exist for purpose of human consumption. All plant, animal, and insect DNA has been changing for millions of years without human intervention. Changing or altering the DNA doesn't make it bad. There is a need in the breeding world for this. Only wish I could have developed it.

I would prefer DNA be left alone, cows have horns and chickens have beaks. The animal food industry could be looking for ways to prevent unnecessary slaughter and waste instead.
Mother Nature doesn't "stand by". Humans do NOT have all the answers and shouldn't be tweaking "Mother Nature's" creations.
So, how 'bout those LA Dodgers..
