Guess the city of Lubbock Texas will have to change its name. Named after Tom Lubbock, a Texas Ranger, signed Texas Declaration of Independence, oh , and a confederate officer. How racist is that. Flying it high.

I've seen a lot of Confederate flags and bumper stickers here, in the Detroit area for 50 yrs, b/c a lot of Southerns came up here to work in the bomber plants and in the automobile factories. They proudly displayed their Confederate Flags and bumper stickers to let people know they were from the south and they were proud of it. There's nothing wrong with that.!!

I aways thought it was the flag of the southern part of America flown by the Confederate Army during the American civil war, I didn't know that it had anything to do with race. Hopefully someone will tell us where that, ie racism part comes from .

The only thing I've seen is that as states and business's ban it- the more are sold! Never paid much attention to it! Still don't except I see more now that all the attention seems to be on them! Yea! May the USA always gripe about something!

The Civil War, or War Between the States centered around the Confederate States' seceding from the Union, not why. It was a fight to keep the USA in tact. The issue of slavery was one of many.
If the Confederate flag is banned, all non USA flags should be banned under the umbrella of racism. And zorro knows exactly of what I speak.
