Unless your room is the size of the Royal York ballroom, get yourself the cheapest unit available. On sale, they sell for $ 100.00 and will more than satisfy. For several years, I installed them in my kids apartments when they attended university every spring. My installation days are, however, done. :-)

You have to measure the dimensions of the room(s) you wish to air condition.Then, you ask dealer,or somebody in the  know, how many square feet = how many BTUs in a window A C .Then you buy that size of BTU.

Example :  18,000 B T U s  will cool 3 rooms, if their dimensions are  X, Y, and Z

M/C/M,is near enough right,but do not forget your humidity control,and being a duck you can always get your flippers in a Barth of cold warter,
