Change "have" to "has" and omit the word "that". The prepositional phrase "of literary forms" identifies which forms, so I'd leave it.
It was emphasized the number of literary firms has increased.

It's incorrect to use "that" in this sentence? I would leave it in. I love grammar so please explain it to me.
I think (that) just about everyone would use "that" in this sentence. It serves no useful purpose, though. Another example (that) might make more sense:
I think that the president is a fool.
I think the president is a fool.
I think that the president is a fool.
I think the president is a fool.
Sometimes I have to re-read a sentence, particularly in newspapers, because "that" is not in the sentence. It often makes a sentence more readable but THAT is just my opinion. :)
Clonge said to omit the phrase, not just "of", mcm...check his answer again. I'd leave it in because it identifies which type of forms has increased in number, which I've now explained twice.
"That" in the sentence is used as a conjunction, I think, but I also think (that) it isn't necessary
