If you'll notice on their profiles, many were "loaded up" on October 12th (hundreds of them). We can only guess who did that.

After looking at seveal questions from the same member on the same day, it felt like an advertising scam.

Yep and if you take a look at the profiles of any questions that are now 5 months old, you'll see the "join up day" as Oct. 12. Many of us starting responding to those questions with joke answers to the "October 12th-ers". :)

CB and I were reliably informed that it was the "owners" of akaQA who placed these questions on the site to generate traffic.

Good idea eh? It really has improved things around here.....................

You have a reliable informant? I wish I could make contact with one of those! :(

Well, it wasn't really "informing", more like "these questions are here for a reason", please stop with the silly answers.............Go figure!

Uh huh. I guess there are no new questions on the forum anymore because...um...let's see..."the IT people are working on it"? LOL!!

I never noticed but then, I rarely answer computer questions. My guess is that the powers that be were hoping to stir up cinders, they don't even know what their own site is........

What happens to them if we just leave them sit there,,if we answer them we give them life,,if we just let them sit there do they die..?????..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

    Bob/PKB

No, they don't die. All those unanswered questions are waiting. If one gets answered, it goes to the "You might also be interested in..." from this site.
You can answer all those questions here, though, with one universal answer any can follow
