When you were a kid, did you enjoy coloring?

Do you know that there are coloring books for adults?

Yes, I loved colouring when I was a kid, I've checked out some art books at my work recently, there are a lot of adult colouring mags etc, wish they had them when I was younger, I always wanted to get more and more intricate stuff but it wasn't available then.

Well now is your opportunity. Go for it.

i loved coloring and still do in other ways. i like painting and drawing more now.

Loved it and I never went outside the lines. Oh, and always guided the pencil  in the same direction.

I just heard about them this morning on a news program and that's exactly what the person said, who had just discovered them in a book store....very relaxing. I must have one! :)

Yes. There were these color-by-number sets with pencils. The pencils had numbers which corresponded to the areas on the papers. They were called "Venus Paradise". http://www.ebay.com/gds/Paradise-Venus-Color-by-Number-Pencil-Sets-1960s-/10000000009185233/g.html

There are books that are just straight coloring books and the idea is to be creative....no numbers to guide you.

Coloring books for adults, eh ?

I hope they shoot me before I get old.

CB, You're right. I DO manage to enjoy life without Bingo and coloring books. As for Cuba, I'm afraid I'll have to search for another refuge now that they'll soon let Americans in.

Ducky, Thanks for being so accommodating with your gun.

You're welcome for the "gun thing". Call me whenever you're ready. Oh, and bingo....the way I'm progressing that could be next. :)
P.S. I'll let others here, handle your "Americans in Cuba" comment. ooooooohhh :(

Yes. I liked to colour when I was young. When I was in the 4th grade I knew a disabled lady in her 60's and she spent several hours a day colouring.  If I see an adult colouring book I'll buy one.

I just bought one, slightly different than the brand that was on tv. The woman in the book store, said they can't keep them in stock since the item was on tv yesterday....sold out yesterday and again today. (Some of the designs are absolutely beautiful.)

    Yep.

Loved it! (Still do...) I came in second place in a contest when I was 5 years old. When I got older and my views wider, I began to outline in one color and fill in with another.........

Keeps it from ever being dull.....

Raising kids gave me the pleasure of coloring again ... but I much prefer sidewalk chalk art ... big art !

I did like coloring but never did it to suit my friend! She complained about lines and going in one direction!
