Mate, Some of the finest people I have known have been aborigines.
If you want to know something about the bush....ask an Abbo.
Should they leave 'their land' for better employment opportunities & self improvement?
Well,Don't we all?
The trend of relying on Gov't support to feed your family isn't restricted to aborigines.
Take a look around some southside Brisbane suburbs next time you're down this way.
I have no aboriginal blood but if I did I would be proud of it.

I believe the aboriginal should learn to mix with the whites,,and whites with blacks,,everybody seems to be able to mix alright as kids at school,,but after school a wall seems to go up,,they want to live on land rights and receive a payment from the government,,they call it sit down money,,it diminishes their ability to learn and make do for themselves,,they are not dumb, and no one knows the bush better than an aboriginal,,somewhere along the way,we have to become Australians as one,,Not Australians and aboriginals,,>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<

It's too bad we righteous people always destroy and get rid of indigenous people. We need to keep these native people safe and as untouched as possible. Like we do birds and other endangered species. Because when they start mixing with modern society, it's over for them.

Evolution, especially one where copious amounts of finance are involved, tends to be very limited in thinking and/or, acceptance of differences.
No, it's the white settlers who should get out and leave Oz to its indigenous people.

They were hunter/gatherers and had followed that lifestyle for about 50,000 years.
Terry, we all come from somewhere and we are all going somewhere ... and you are very correct. However, some things cannot be reversed.
I can tell you that if you were Canadian you would have far more rights than I do and far more support on many levels. This is a good thing and hopefully you will see this in your lifetime in Australia.
Eventually things turn out for the best... well, we can only hope.
