I can see where you are coming from, but there are good and bad in all race and religions. These lunatics are using the Muslim religion just to justify there murderess ways, I don't know why any more than anyone else. But it certainly needs the rest of the world including Muslims to get together and rid the world of these evil people who wrongly claim to represent the Muslims.

Never had a problem with any Muslim I know except one ( and I know a lot of Muslims). they have built one of Europes largest mosques a few hundred yards from my home and the only problem seems to be parking.
I don't pack all Muslims into the same box with some of their more extreme followers.

Seems to me there are a lot of lists missing from your Anti-Muslim posting. May as well stir the pot of negative energy.

The way in which this posting is written throws negative connotation onto all Muslims and in no way singles out the extreme fundamentalists that are perpetrating the crimes.
If I were to share an opinion written by another person which stated Americans are arrogant, narrow minded and ignorant without stating that I in no way believe what was written but just wanted to share these sentiments with the forum, how would you react? I have read articles of this nature but choose not to share them and also don't agree with them. I can tell you that many Canadians share these sentiments for Americans and voice their opinion on this very subject loudly. They don't claim that 'some Americans' are this way, they just say 'Americans' are this way. ...
Have a great week Clonge.
Historically, there have been problems with Muslim Pirates, look up Jefferson and Pirates. The U.S. paid to get free passage of ships in what is now Somalia, back in colonial days. Jefferson urged the U.S. gov't to not pay, and go to war with them, and not be intimidated. Read, very interesting.

Gidday Clonge,,this question keeps popping up does it not.???.some people say stop picking on Muslims and talking negative vibes,so i guess sticking our head in the sand is never going to make it go away,We have a Mosque in Aussie that has been there for a hundred years, most people did not know they were there, they did not interfere with anybody, and nobody interfered with them,We all lived together in peace,,Then came the so called refugee boat people, our labor government let thousands of them in,the liberal government has since stopped the boats, but the damage has been done,,the 2 scum the cops arrested on the 12-2-2015,,One of them took up citizenship in Aussie, and then decides to go kill Christians because he does not like them because "they do not believe",I do not believe in mohhommed..but i do not kill muslims because of it,,Now here is what i do not get, there are thousands and thousands of muslims that believe their god is telling them to go and kill the infidel in their bible,,but the so called peaceful muslims in Aussie say their bible does not say that,,yet they have the same bible,,so what happens when the peacefull muslims in Aussie decide to follow their belief and kill the infidel,,that is the biggest problem all countries throughout the world have,,,and please this is not a time for bleeding hearts, or those with their heads in the sand,,

I am a conservative, I'm sure regulars here know that but I will not take sides with the anti-muslim side. I am not totally sure of my thoughts but it does seem to me that there are many good Muslims in the world that are scared to death of the radicals that use their faith to push their ideology and agenda. Most good Muslims will not speak up in fear of rejection and danger to themselves or family. A fear factor that has genuine facts supporting it. The radicals will kill anyone that defies them. Including Muslims
I believe this war against Islamic terrorist is in name only. A terrorist is a terrorist, regardless what name you give them. But, in fact, These people are radical Islamic and you just cant ignore this fact.
I think that first the Muslim world needs to come together and stand up to them, the USA and it's allies I am sure will stand with them once they show they are willing to take them on.
Don't expect any help from this administration though, our prez would rather turn a blind eye and play golf and make immature Utube videos rather than support the fight on terrorism. His latest proposal to ask congress for 'permission' to use military force against ISIS is a joke, his stipulation is no boots on the ground. Of course, we (USA) have been responsible for over 85% of the bombing attacks on ISIS already! So what military action is he talking about if not boots?? This is a ploy, another political game. Republicans want to annihilate the ISIS terror organization, Head on! Democrats are still looking for it to go away or someone else take care of it. This in turn will be talking point in the presidential elections when the democrats say-- "obama wanted to fight but republicans stopped him' . and of course, the un-informed voters will hear this without knowing the facts and once again, it's the republican's fault. Liberal Democrats are experts at the spin game and lying to get to the truth as they see it.

Extremism
Economist Ronald Wintrobe[6] argues that many extremist movements, even though having completely different ideologies share a common set of characteristics. As an example, he lists the following common characteristics between "Jewish fundamentalists" and "the extremists of Hamas":[7] • Both are against any compromise with the other side. • Both are entirely sure of their position. • Both advocate and sometimes use violence to achieve their ends. • Both are nationalistic. • Both are intolerant of dissent within their group. • Both demonize the other side Psychological Among the explanations for extremism is one that views it as a plague.[2] Arno Gruen said, "The lack of identity associated with extremists is the result of self-destructive self-hatred that leads to feelings of revenge toward life itself, and a compulsion to kill one’s own humanness." Thus extremism is seen as not a tactic, nor an ideology, but as a pathological illness which feeds on the destruction of life.[2] Dr. Kathleen Taylor believes Muslim fundamentalism is a mental illness and that is “curable.”[8] Another view is that extremism is an emotional outlet for severe feelings stemming from "persistent experiences of oppression, insecurity, humiliation, resentment, loss, and rage" which are presumed to "lead individuals and groups to adopt conflict engagement strategies which “fit” or feel consistent with these experiences".[2] Extremism is however seen by other researchers as a "rational strategy in a game over power".[2] See for instance the works of Eli Berman. Wikipedia
We see extremism as a justifiable behavior when expressed by a young soldier who has been sent to a country to fight and kill the upholders of a "bad" regime.
