Well then move to Texas. We do get a little snow, melts in day or two. Does get little cold. Enough to kill bugs October through April. Cost of living is cheaper. LESS TAXES. Example, a house in Borden County appraised at 65,000, only pays about 600 dollars a year in property taxes. Jobs everywhere. The kind that has paid health care. Even the fast food places pay high wages, they cant fill positions.

Here in northern California the environment seems to be changing in that we have not had snow for their years. When I first moved here 40 years ago it snowed 2 to 3 feet deep every year and as much rain in the spring. This year we have had very little freezing weather. near normal rain and no snow below 6000 feet in altitude. The rivers ran dry last year and there is so little left to burn that most fires are left to burn out on their own.

No, I can't get enough of it. I like dressing up in two sweaters, a long coat, a scarf, a hat, a hood and brushing the snow off of my car before I go anywhere and having difficulty seeing around gigantic snow banks while exiting parking lots and driveways and carrying groceries across slippery parking lots with the wind blowing me off my feet!
And the positive side is that I REALLY, REALLY appreciate spring!!!! :)))

It's a very moderate 28 deg C here at the moment. There is a cyclone hanging around the cape tho.Cairns in the far North has had 500mm (20 inches) of rain in the past 48 hours or so.
The only snow I have ever seen here in Brisbane was in the 80s.It was so light it melted before it hit the ground.

I'm so sick of winter. Every fall I dread it ! We just go over a big snow storm and now, we've been in the deep freeze for days ! Today, on Val Day, I had big plans. So I went out to my car, and it was dead as a door nail ! The maddening thing is......I just bought a new battery ! There's no one to jump it. You have to have really long cables b/c the car is in the garage. It's supposed to be only 4 degrees F. Sunday and it's going to be minus 11 F. at night !! The rest of the week doesn't look very good either :-(
