I'm being a bit biased here but Loch Lomond and it's amazing setting is the most beautiful I've ever seen, and I've seen a good few around the world.

Lake Charlevoix in N.W. Michigan. And it has a channel that empties into Lake Michigan. You can see the fishing boats coming in loaded with White Fish and Chinook Salmon. Lake Charlevoix ( the x is silent ) is shaped like an upside down L . It has a " north arm " and a " south arm " The north arm is 10 miles long and the south arm is 5 miles long.
Torch Lake- - -also in N.W. Michigan is a close 2nd. It's 10 miles long. It has many shelves. It's very deep for an inland lake....It's greatest depth is 300 ft. It changes color. The National Geographic , one year, said it was the 3rd most beautiful lake in the world. Lake Geneva in Switzerland was ahead of it.
We had a cottage on Lake Charlevoix and a house trailer on Torch Lake, but not both at the same time. Lost both of them due to deaths in my family :-(

Crater Lake in Oregon. Clearest water anywhere. no minerals. May have been the tallest mountain in North America before collapsed.
