    What makes some clouds appear in long and narrow streaks one or more at a time?

    I live in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

      Those are called '‎Cirrus Clouds' High altitude clouds, sometimes referred to as ice clouds.  Even though you are in sunny Florida, at very high altitudes the temps are very cold.
