He has girls that can play. There should be a mercy rule in high school basketball. Although this doesn't happen , 60 point losses are common in both boys and girls . Some teams just don't have talent. What do you do, don't play because your team knows they are not good ? How about that team playing against 7th grade girls. That would be better. But if they lose would they get depressed and need psychological help instead.

I don't get it.......
If the other team are crap at the game they shouldn't be playing the game, if they want the kids to exercise get them running around the ballpark, not on a basketball court embarrassing themselves, it is the relevant authority who suspended the guy who should be embarrassed, they must have a few talented girls in that team.

How well did he treat his team and how did they behave towards the losers? Sportsmanship was shown, I assume. There are good winners and bad, just like with losers. What kind of team did he have? What is he really being punished for?
