I almost always read one at a time, but lately , I've been reading two. I keep one in my bathroom, and one in my bedroom--or the kitchen or living room. When I go to a restaurant, I take the most interesting one with me.

I have a "one year Bible" that is organized to be completed in one year. I'm taking two history courses that will have different textbooks to read, and, if I'm reading for leisure, it will be one book.
An actual answer would be that, even if a situation like the above exists, I could end up on the couch with one book in my hands for the entire day, engrossed and undistractable (which isn't a word, but you know what I mean ).

I only read one book at a time, and that takes me ages. I read about three or four pages then nod off, I have to wake myself up and go back to the last paragraph I can remember and start again.
