This is a really great question miss mcm ... thanks for asking it! I have worn my hair all kinds of ways ... even had a pink afro style when I was a teen ... my mom freaked out! LOL I wear it long and dyed my [hopefully] natural ash blonde. ;D Blonde from a box!

Bunkin you must be psychic because we just moved one road over from this location I kid you not!!! On Teds Road .... look at google map ... freak my freak!
The pic of Storm was at Englishman River... little chick has to have her hip[s] replaced as well as both legs reconstructed starting in June.. but she will be able to walk and run into her senior years ... yay!

What a beautiful place to live. I see Young's Salon with the heart sign out front and their looks to be a couple of houses back in that area, but Google won't take me off road. I guess you live very close to Young's.

@MCM...Digger had more than one avatar, but none of them were Sammy Davis Jr. I believe you must be thinking of his Groucho Marx avatar, and how in the heck you can mistake Groucho for Sammy is almost funny. The avatar I was referring to in my comment to Digger five months ago is one of his first avatars which may have been an actual photo of him.

My hair just goes the way it went when I was in high school. It never changes. If I try something new, it just doesn't work. When I was in my 20's it was kinda long. Sadly, no more. I don't like my hair. It has always bothered me...when I was just three, I've heard that I got up in the night, went to the mirror with a brush in hand .."Oh, these tigs," I'd say at my reflection. When I look at a magazine, ALL the women have long hair. Every last one of them ... Grrrrr.

My hair is naturally curly and also does exactly what it wants to do. I really don't care....I'm glad to have it. I have a female friend who is almost bald! She wishes that she had hair of any kind. :(

Itsmee ... have you ever played around with hair extensions or clip-ins or even wigs? My Mom used to wear the cutest wigs and you just couldn't tell... she even had a bob-cut one and a super short tight curly one that was especially cute... and she had one like "Policewoman's" hair too... blond bombshell! LOL

It may be more a matter of what style is most attractive rather than the length. Some women (as in CBs photos) are gorgeous with long hair. They have facial features which lend themselves successfully to long hair. These "young" women don't look good (in my opinion) with their long hair:

I love it when I see older women with long hair. It's not a matter of young old or in between. It's a matter of: if the style fits, wear it. I remember when women cut their hair off at a certain age. I use to think, why are these ladies letting people talk them into cutting off their hair? I am happy to see and to say, that here in the San Francisco/Silicon Bay Area, lots are women are wearing their beautiful long hair. But really as some here at akaqa have already said, to each his own. I mean her own.

Do whatever you want! It's not specific. If your hair is getting thin or hard to maintain or unhealthy, then cut it. It's better for your hair if you do. But if you like it long and it looks good, there's no rule that says no older women can have long hair. Be you :)
