He doesn't represent the will of the people, doesn't get along with anybody, and, after telling everyone what he couldn't do because he isn't the emperor...went ahead and did it anyway. He said Congress was taking too long to come up with a solution, so he takes matters into his own hands. ????

I'm assuming you, like other democrats, quote Reagan as proof that what Obama has done is legal and comparable to Reagan's executive order concerning illegal aliens. Anyone who believes that the two can be compared is truly misguided. Reagan did not give amnesty on his own to illegal immigrants, the congress during his administration did. He might have believed what he said in that quote but he never used that belief to circumvent Congress and create a law that gave illegals temporary legal status and a right to take American jobs. You can stop reading now if you choose. The rest is part researched information and part my opinion. It's my attempt to help anyone who wishes to better understand what Obama did, why it is illegal, and why it goes against what the US Constitution clearly dictates. Also to point out why his personal policy concerning illegal aliens fails.

Ronald Reagan's executive action (stopping the deportation of minors) was done AFTER the democratic led congress passed an immigration reform bill that shielded some 3 million immigrants from deportation. The bill, however, did not include family members and Reagan responded to this flaw by halting the deportation of their children. You can not compare what he did to what the emperor has done. Reagan did not agree with everything in the immigration reform act that his congress came up with because he felt parts of it would indeed encourage illegal immigration, which it did. The only reason he signed it was because the democrats, who were in control, promised they would fund more money to secure our borders and to "make it illegal to hire or recruit illegal immigrants knowingly". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_Reform_and_Control_Act_of_1986). Reagan thought he was trading a small amnesty for all-important workplace enforcement and increased border security. He compromised with his congress to try and get what he wanted, he did not ignore or surpass them. This is far different than what Obama has done. For those who blame the republicans for not acting on the immigration reform issue under the currant administration: The republicans, throughout Obama's administration, have long been denied their chance to table their ideas on immigration reform. Harry Reid (D) never allowed them to do that while the democrats controlled the senate. Now the table has been turned. Through their votes, the common sense people of America have spoken. They want common sense immigration laws, NOT the free passes for criminals that the dems love to give out. The people have given control of both houses to the republicans. Obama could not even give the republicans the few weeks until next January 2015 when they would have control to finally be able to put their immigration reform ideas on the table. Reagan's priority was to secure our borders and save American jobs for legal Americans, then worry about the illegals who were already here. Obama is doing now what his party did then; forget closing the southern border with a fence and securing all other borders, just concentrate on letting the illegals who are here already, stay here even though it insults those who gained their citizenship the legal way. Obama's amnesty SOLVES NOTHING! Can you tell me where there are 5 million+ jobs that legal US citizens do not need for themselves and their families that we can just give away to the millions of criminals Obama seeks to protect?

Obama's 2 plans on this matter, DACA and his recent illegal amnesty, DO encourage illegal immigration. The "DreamAct"(DACA) encouraged 60 thousand + children to make a dangerous trek to cross into the USA illegally. Many did not make it, they died along the way. Many young girls were were raped and killed and others were abducted and presumed to have been sold into slavery (human trafficking). Many of the so called "children", (adults claiming to be under the age of 18) that are illegally here now due to DACA, are from the very gangs the immigrant kids claim they were running from. Because of the DreamAct the kids came, claiming they were searching for their parents. Parents who chose to leave their kids behind when they crossed into the USA illegally. This new ILLEGAL amnesty of his (and he knows it's illegal as he said it himself 22+ times) will only cause more people to come into this country illegally with hopes that if they just wait long enough, they will get amnesty too and yes, no matter what he calls it now, it is still amnesty. ONLY CONGRESS can give temporary or permanent citizenship, ONLY CONGRESS can give work permits to illegals. Only Congress can approve amnesty. A president CAN NOT. Read the US Constitution. It gives full control of immigration, naturalization and citizenship to Congress, not to the president. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4 (summarized)... "Congress has the power to set up a process for immigrants to become American citizens".http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_nationality_law We already have laws on the books concerning illegal immigrants. One is, when found living illegally in the USA, they are to be deported. Enforce that law! The system only remains "broken" because that law has not been enforced by past presidents (Bush Sr, Bush Jr, Clinton) and currently, Obama. Making sure existing laws passed by Congress are followed is the job of a president. A president can not surpass Congress and just write his own laws. Obama knows this as well as anyone, especially since he loves to toss around that idea that he is a Constitutional law professor.

If the adult illegals do not want to be separated from the kids they gave birth to here, they can take them home with them when they get deported. Those kids can choose to come back here when they turn 18 or if old enough can remain here with family members who became citizens the legal way. Many legal American families are ripped apart by the laws we live under yet no one talks about them. We have military people who have not seen their spouse and kids for years. We have people who break laws and go to prison, they are ripped away from their families, their kids. Should we give them a free pass for breaking the law? Should we set them all free so they can be with their families again? Illegal immigrants BROKE the law! They are criminals because of that. Deport them, do not reward them. Rewarding them only causes more illegal immigrants to come and take their chances too.

BTW and off topic, his flagship tax that is called Obamacare and is NOT a healthcare, is illegal too and will be repealed. Mark my words on this. The tax mandate he dubbed the Affordable Care Act, has to be repealed because IT IS broken and does not offer affordable healthcare and the real numbers, (not the numbers the WH loves to toss around) show that less people now are insured than ever before and those who are insured will not be able to afford next year's premiums when they double and triple. There is no way to fix the disaster called Obamacare. Repeal it!

Obama can no longer lie his way out of the messes he has created in this country. No one trusts him or believes him except for a handful of sleepers who continue to support him and his bad policies. It's time to wake up, the alarm has been ringing for years. Stop hitting the snooze button.
