Ok. What happens when you click on the edit button? Does a box containing your "script" not appear below your answer? Curious.

YES, you can gain weight by eating later in the evening, even though your body burns calories during sleep.  Many foods turn to sugar and fat if their energy isn't used. If you are having vivid and crazy dreams, you might burn more calories, though, so eating foods that trigger weird dreams can be a good way to LOSE weight.

KEY TO WEIGHT GAIN:  Eat more and be sedentary.

I think you already know the answer to this, though.

You will put on weight if you eat the wrong things at any time, it doesn't matter what time, eat healthy and you wont have a problem, as for the dreams, are you on any kind of medication?

Yes, I've heard that Ativan or Zoloft can cause wild, vivid dreams. Do you know it that's true ? My psychiatrist died a few years ago at the age of 57 :'-(
I went to him for 8 yrs.

I used to take a beta blocker and I always had strange dreams, once I stopped them the dreams stopped.

I believe eating at night and gaining weight is a myth. One needs the chance to “burn off calories” and if you go right to sleep……….? I think if you are eating right, it shouldn’t matter what time you eat. As for vivid dreams, they say eating Welsh Rarebits causes nightmares. I don’t know. Dreaming isn’t my forte……..

Yes to both, you will gain weight as Bob has stated above.  I don't really have dreams, but do get a poor night of sleep if I eat too late.  So I would venture others may have bad dreams as well.
