    Is there ONE password that controls ALL your passwords? I think the guy at the Mac store told me about this.

    In Safari preferences there is an extension for passwords. that is where your internet passwords are stored and used in accessing on-line sites. The "apple"  has the system preferences that allows the administrator (you?) to set the system wide preferences. Many programs have the potential to password protect discrete programs and files within programs...so that if your computer is central to a number of secondary system computers, you can centrally process and provide access to a controllable number of access potentials for each and every computer in your office, building, complex, universe.

    That might be true with Macs, but you gotta remember, Mac is very different from Windows.
