I found this: If they aren't fleas they are lice. Cats don't get any other types of external parasites that size that move fast. The cat needs to be bathed in medicated shampoo to kill them and all bedding the cat sleeps on needs to be washed in hot water. The eggs will hatch in the house and the cat will get reinfected.
I don’t know if it applies……..

Thanks for the only logical answer, Jh. It crossed my mind last winter, it could be lice. Last winter, they were only on her back near her tail. I put some flea spray on a brush and brushed her back and they went away. But they're bbbaaaccckkkkkkk - - --with a vengeance !! They like to congregate on her face, the poor thing........maybe b/c of the smell of food from her moth draws them. And they're near her eyes. and mouth !! It's gross !
I looked it up on the net and all it talked about was fleas. Today, I scraped one or two of them off of her face, And
the one fell on the floor, and it was wiggling !! That's no Flea !!!! Have you ever seen one wiggle off of your cat (s) , jh ?
