Steve Harvey always harps about the man paying for everything (ACT LIKE A LADY, THINK LIKE A MAN). Sounds good to me but I’ve never ever actually been asked out on a date……...

Generally if a man ask a woman out, i think he's thinking about paying.  and i think the woman thinks he's going to pay too, particularly if he asked for the date. but i agree with ducky, the person with the highest income should think about paying, male or female.  if they have great communications, they can talk about it  if they are compatible, they will probably agree on things pretty good. but i also agree with clu . . . 'if you ask, you should pay.'

As a man,I would pay,but I'm pretty old fashioned.I think it's more common to go Dutch these days.

If a guy asked me to go to dinner or a movie, a game or even bowling, I would expect his plan to include paying for it.  HE asked.   If I offer the tip or buy the popcorn, I think that's OK, too.  But, I would let the man reach for his wallet, since the invitation was his to me.
