Congratulations Gary Busey...'I know why the word Great is in front of Britain.'
I doubt there are many reality show viewers here on aka, but I'm delighted that American actor Gary Busey was crowned the first American winner of UKs Celebrity Big Brother.
Eccentric, Old, Funny and Rude, but he still showed the silly Brit "Celebrities" how to win.

Gary has always been an interesting "celebrity", to say the least. Hooray for him, and I hope what he has learned about himself will help him reconnect to family and friends.

He was hated by most of the other Celebrity participants. He wasn't the most pleasant housemate, but he is going through his own journey with things that have happened to him in the past. He can't hear very well which caused friction in the house because they thought he was being rude with his attitude. I think the housemates were too harsh on him, but the British public disagreed and I'm glad he won.
Hearing impaired folks often are accused or considered rude or haughty, when they simply just don't hear what's going on! One of my teachers is really up front, saying she needs hearing aids, but they are too expensive, and we just need to speak up. The housemates probably enjoyed picking on an older person, especially one who IS outspoken and controversial. Good for Gary!!
