Dumb posting on a free legal advice website, or just a memory lapse?. What do you think?

    Question:

"I got a speeding ticket in Georgia going 90 in a 70. my speedometer was broken. i had an appointment to fix it...I also forget to mention my broken speedometer to the cop at the time."                                                                                                                 Attorney answer:

"If you had mentioned the broken speedometer he may have given you another ticket for defective equipment. I am assuming you are on a Florida License. This charge needs to be reduced to a local ordinance violation so the charge will not go on your Florida License, and you will not face an additional $200 fine for being a "Super Speeder" in Georgia. Hire an attorney to resolve this for you so you don't have to return to Georgia just to go to court."

No, he's a Floridian. Why would it matter if he was from Texas?
