    Answer:


    5(x + 3y)

    What do you mean, "FACTOR"?   You are trying to add x and y.  There is no "=" to give me a hint as to how I would proceed. 


    I suppose you could factor the 5 and 15 to 1 and 3, which would make your answer

    You can also factor a number by reducing it to the prime numbers used to multiply to that number. (16 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2, for example)
