Based on air quality and crime, those are the top ten bad places to be.  Does anything else matter, such as cost of living, unemployment rate, education?  Note, too, this is from CNBC, and anything coming off as editorial news is biased.

Every photo, like Tommy said, was nice, beautiful, actually.  My son traveled the US a couple of years ago and saw some really horrible things. One that stood out was a car whipping around a corner, coming to a stop, and dumping a body out before speeding away.  He saw this from the balcony of his motel room.

Why are all those states in the mid -eastern part of the country ?? - - - -except Oklahoma. I think whoever made this up is prejudiced against any state east of the Mississippi River.

If the auto industry wouldn't have priced themselves out of business, then Michigan would still be a thriving state to live in.  Even in the 90s,  Ford Explorers  were  $ 50,000  !!!  that's the price of a house now......in some areas !!

Get rid of the unions and the autos would not cost so much.
