You DON'T want German roaches. They are very difficult to eradicate!
Actually, looks like you have the makings for a wilted iceberg lettuce....well, the wilted lettuce, anyway. UGH

Eggs are no problem in room temp. unless they have a crack that bacteria can get in and live on the rotten egg, anyone ever have one explode? We used to from the incubator when we hatched chicks at the school farm. Yuck! The worst smell you can think of!

When I was in the second grade I watched my adopted dad ring a chicken neck and the headless chicken chicken flopping on the ground. I had a dream that chicken feet were surrounding my bed that night. Scary dream for a young child.
I cracked open a rotten egg the other day an I could not get the image out of my mind for a few days. I'm very skeptical when it comes to cooking chicken and eggs.

CB...I thought I was the only kid who had ever had that experience. My uncle did that and the chicken actually ran around the farm yard. When they passed the chicken at supper time, I said "No thanks". They were all laughing at me and asking why I didn't like chicken anymore. :(

My mom used to kill chickens, and she would chop off heads with the axe and they ran around to bleed out. As I taught, we did hundreds per day with students, the correct commercial way, no running around, etc.

And to think of it, 15 High School kids with knives in hand, in a meat lab setting! Could not do that today... I never had any concerns of safety for myself, only if one nicked their own finger... Everyone conducted themselves in a professional manner, just wanting to learn. Never had a kid play around, or go wacky and turn on anyone. Many a time, my back was turned, on 14 of them, as I assisted one at their cutting board!

No can do; I LIKE my Black Forest ham and sliced salami. I'll be careful about the other stuff, though, which aren't in my refrigerator right now.
